About TrigVia & Google Permissions

TrigVia is a Google Chrome extension that reads only the text you manually highlight on any webpage and runs AI actions on it — summarizing, explaining, drafting email replies, or writing social posts. It never reads your browsing history, monitors background activity, or collects data without your explicit selection.

To sync outputs to your workspace, TrigVia requests limited Google OAuth permissions: Google Docs access (to append AI-generated content to a document you choose) and Google Calendar access (to create reminder events from date mentions in highlighted text). These permissions are requested only when you connect a workspace and are used solely for actions you explicitly trigger — never in the background.

TrigVia requires explicit user authorization to connect with Google services. We request only the minimum OAuth scopes necessary to enable our core export features:

Google Docs Integration

TrigVia requests access to Google Docs so that when you trigger a "Summarize" or "Explain" action, the extension can automatically create a new document or append the AI-generated text to a document you select.

Google Calendar Integration

TrigVia requests access to Google Calendar so that when you use the "Create Calendar Reminder" action on highlighted text, the app can automatically draft and schedule a meeting or reminder event on your calendar.

Strict Privacy Scopes

TrigVia only processes the exact text strings you manually highlight. The app does not read your general browsing history, monitor background activity, or read your existing Google Drive files. Actions are only executed when explicitly triggered by the user.
